If you’re moving within the PNM service area, we may be able to transfer your subscription. If you’re moving out of the area, you can cancel with a 90-day notice — no cancellation fee.
No. There are no upfront costs, cancellation fees or hidden fees.
Yes. You’ll continue receiving your regular PNM bill, but it will now show solar credits applied to your account. You’ll also get a separate invoice from the solar provider for the discounted amount.
Yes! As long as you pay your own electric bill and meet the income requirements, renters are absolutely eligible.
No worries — you’ll always stay connected to PNM’s grid. Even if solar production is lower during cloudy days or winter months, you’ll still receive uninterrupted electricity from PNM just like you always have. Community solar supplements your supply with credits, but PNM is still your provider.
No. Your power comes from PNM’s grid as usual. If there’s ever an issue with the solar farm, you’ll still get electricity from PNM — no interruptions, no shutoffs.
Nope. There’s no credit check, deposit, or financial barrier. This program is designed to be accessible to households that qualify based on income, not credit.
Yes. As long as you’re a PNM customer and meet the income requirement, you can still subscribe — even if you have a balance due.
Nope! Everything runs through your existing PNM meter. No devices, no apps, no changes to your home.

I always wanted solar but couldn't have it on my town home; it's been so nice seeing the discount since I applied for community solar!

I just went through a bankruptcy but I was able to see some light when I found out I could still subscribe to a local solar garden near me. It's been a blessing.
